The De Simone Formulation found in Visbiome® Infant Drops was
evaluated in two trials with infants (babies younger than 1 year of age).
Breastfed Infants with Colic
53 breastfed infants with colic were randomly assigned
to receive Visbiome® Infant Drops or placebo for 21 days.
On day 21 a higher rate of infants from the probiotic group responded to treatment (reduction of crying time) and the
total crying time per day was reduced in the probiotic
group in 70%.

Low Birth Weight Infants
1240 infants (3-7 days old) weighing 1500-2500 grams
were randomized in a double-blind design to receive the
active product or placebo.
A statistically significant decrease in sepsis was recorded
in a post hoc subgroup analysis of infants between
1500-2000 grams. There were no side effects attributed to the probiotic.**

Recommended Daily Dosage
Visbiome Infant Drops is water-soluble. Do not mix it with hot beverages.
Visbiome® Infant Drops should be refrigerated (39-46°F, 4-8°C). If stored under refrigeration, the product is guaranteed through “Best if used by” date. Visbiome® infant drops can be stored at room temperature for up to one week without adversely affecting potency
Visbiome® Infant Drops contains milk (trace amounts, less than 0.1g per 100g) and dehydrated skim milk or milk protein (casein and beta-lacto globulin of less than 2mg/Kg). The lactose levels in Visbiome Infant drops is well below the National Institutes of Health's threshold for the amount of lactose intake generally tolerable by individuals with lactose intolerance. When using the most sensitive analytical method available, no lactose was found in Visbiome Infant Drops.
